Errands and lake

Last night I called in to see if I had to report for jury duty. All trials were cancelled and I jumped for joy. Literally.

Ru and I packed most of our stuff we had at Mom's and drove to Salem. We dropped off stuff, tended the garden, rehired our housesitter, and drove back to Mom's. It was nice to be with Ru and Freddie again. It was a lonely weekend without them.

Today (Monday) started with watering and a great workout. Then we went to Eugene to get birthday supplies (Ru turns 10 tomorrow). He's getting a lot of electrical stuff from me. Wire, clips, batteries, light bulbs, he's fascinated by that stuff so I researched some awesome experiments. We also got a carrot cake, groceries, and had a great lunch at a bagel store.

We got home and after playing with the dog and packing snacks we headed for the lake. It was well over 90 degrees and I may have been a tad bit cranky.

The best part of the day was after Ruben's third tow on the tube, and a massive airborne wipe out, he said to me "My face is getting tired from all this smiling".
