Our day started with me laying in bed reading the news on my phone while Ru snoozed at my side and Kitty snoozed at my foot. We had cold cereal for breakfast (Special K with red berries) and got dressed. Then my friend Stacey came over for coffee, lettuce, and conversation. It was great to see her.
At 10:45 we gathered the neighbor boys and walked over to free lunch at Liberty Elementary. There was a choice between a sandwich or pizza and all the boys chose pizza. None of them ate it. Ru's buddy Bradon met us at free lunch and came home with us for a playdate. Ru and Bradon played video games for 2 hours. I cooked them the best kid lunch ever of mac and cheese, with a side of hot dogs. I also repaired a neighbor's guitar.
I read a book and listened to Keb Mo. If you haven't listened to Keb Mo, I highly recommend him. He's mellow blues, but not so blue. His song "Hand it Over" is tops on my gospel list, and his song "Life is Beautiful" I dedicate to Freddie.
Anyway I had a great sit. Then we took Bradon home, and ran a few errands. Stocked with 6 bags of groceries and some vitamins we had a snack and took a nap. After a while we went downstairs and had a delicious spaghetti dinner. We watched Bear Grylls new show called "Get out alive" on NBC. Its a great show for a 10 year old boy. They ate fish eyeballs.
We went to the pool and Ru brought his big blue birthday ball. The game was to jump on it in the water and be bounced off. Then the game was to jump from the side of the pool and kick the ball as hard as you could so it would go to the other side.
After his bath Ru and I Skyped with Fred. We are always on Skype in the evening if you want to chat.
Skype ID: Rubendpearson
Now we are going to play an eye spy game and read a bedtime story.
Nighty Night.
