Hours went by, and it was time to exercise. I thought it would be a good warmup to play some Just Dance on the Wii. I started boogying and after a few songs I hear a knock at the door. Its Grace and two other little girls Bella and Alyssa selling warm, weak, grape KoolAid. I declined but they stayed to play Just Dance with me. I ended up dancing for 45 minutes, and by the time they moved on to hawk their tepid fake juice to other apartment dwellers I was pretty done. I put in my workout DVD and did... the warmup. Then I ate a salad for lunch and felt great about myself.
Ruben came in and ate with me, and we went to the pool afterwards. I lazed in the sun reading and searching for the best free kindle book and he played with the two other kids we brought. Unfortunately one boy was hogging the floatie and Ru was too meek to get it back. He had an issue when it was time to go because he didn't get enough float time. Lesson learned.
After fresh corn on the cob we went to the baseball game in Keizer. Volcanoes stadium was pretty empty on a Tuesday night, it was the end of a 5 game series against the Tri Cities Dust Devils. Volcanoes won 6-5. Tri Cities almost won, they had two runners on base when the last hitter struck out. Ruben and I had a root beer float and cracker jacks. We chatted with the old couple above us. We watched the beautiful sunset over the stadium. It was a lovely evening.
