Volcanoes

This morning I drove Fred to the audiologist and Ru to camp bright and early. I picked up Fred a little later and he shared that the doctor confirmed what he already suspected, he is totally deaf in his right ear. Fortunately the left ear is working well. A hearing aid won't help him, it's nerve damage. He was referred to an ear nose and throat doctor for further testing.

We ran some errands, ate lunch, and then I drove Freddie to the dentist to have his problem tooth extracted. I ran some errands (eyebrow waxing) and picked him up. After a quick stop at the pharmacy I took him home, and went to get Ruben from camp.

We were home for maybe an hour and then it was time to go to the baseball game. (are you tired just from reading about this day because I'm exhausted)

We had burgers on the way there, except Fred who had a vanilla shake. At the ballpark we had "peanuts, popcorn, and candy candy candy." It was a fun game with a sedate but friendly crowd. On my left was an ex pitcher for the Ducks, below me was the man who invented the soon to be famous one wheeled motorcycle, and next to him was his adorable chubby grandson.

Lots of foul balls were caught(not by us), and we learned some silly mascot dance. The Volcanoes beat Spokane 6-2.

Fred managed the pulled tooth pain with "the good pills" and ice cream.

At the end of the night were some of the prettiest fireworks I've ever seen. It was a hectic day with a lovely ending. Ruben was asleep by the time I pulled the car onto the freeway to head home.

I'm still under the weather as well. I think tomorrow will be uneventful. At least I'll do my best to make it that way.
