The Wedding

We came down from Salem all dressed up with a carload of camping gear and musical equipment.  It must have been the prettiest day so far this summer.  Ruben says he's getting tired of all the driving we've been doing, but driving with the top down on sunny days has yet to get old to me.  We listened to Michael Jackson and Jamiroquai on the radio.

We arrived around noon, emptied the car, packed up the signs and took a drive to hang them up.  We drove from Creswell to Cottage Grove where we dropped off a birthday card for our friend Trina. We picked up the wedding bouquet and then got two pizzas and delivered them back to moms house where a hungry crew awaited.

After the much needed nourishment we decorated tables with mom's beautiful bouquets and balloons.  The band set up and rehearsed for a while and then we got ready for the ceremony.  I didn't take many pictures because I was so busy.  Hopefully I'll be able to link to someone else's album soon.

I was in charge of music for the ceremony, and Ruben did a great job as ring bearer.  The small but enthusiastic crowd was joyous, and my mom and Jeff were beaming.

After the ceremony we had a delicious barbecue dinner from Big Stuff catering, and then me and my friends played some songs.  We got mom to sing on several songs, and she played the mandolin on one as well.  Jeff played a great blues harmonica to the train song, and Max stepped up and sang some Johnny Cash.  Ru had a great time playing DJ hero with my cousins Nick and Matthew.

We tidied up after the party, had another barbecue dinner, and slept well in Ruben's room at Grandma's house.  We were asleep before our eyes even closed.
