Gilbert House Children's Museum

So we have been hearing a lot about the Gilbert House and thought we'd go try it out.  We were dragging when we got out of bed so after breakfast at 11am we finally left home.  I had promised Ru no long drives till Friday when he goes to visit his dad, and I came through.  Gilbert House is only 5 miles from where we live.

Gilbert House is affiliated with OMSI in Portland and has a lot of similar exhibits.  Its housed near Riverfront Park and has three big houses full of exhibits and a HUGE playground.

The parts that Ruben liked best were the playground, the bubble room, and the room with the infrared video display. A lot of the other exhibits were geared toward preschool children.  We stayed for a few hours till our stomachs were complaining and then we drove over to the Reed Opera House and had dollar tacos at LaPerla.  We topped that off with cake batter ice cream from Coldstone Creamery and we came home to rest for the rest of the day.  Some of that resting happened by the pool.
