The neglected stuff

Yesterday I did the first half of a thorough computer cleanup on both my laptops.  (Changing passwords, updating security, backing up, deleting files, organizing the desktop, resizing and renaming pictures and defragmenting the hard drives) I managed to do this while laying in the sun on the back patio and sipping iced tea.  Ruben spent the entire day laying in the fluff chair watching shows on Netflix.

Today however I tackled my list of neglected stuff.  Ruben helped, and played with the neighbor kids.
Things that got done:
  • Washed all the windows inside and out (took off the screens and washed them as well)
  • Installed alarms on all the windows and doors
  • Put Ruben's clothes in his new dresser and gave the old one to a neighbor
  • Installed a locking doorknob on my bedroom door
  • Hung a shelf under the living room window for the plants
  • Hung a hook for our reusable shopping bags so I can easily take them with me when I shop
  • Cleaned and repainted my rusting barbecue
  • Repaired the roof hinge on my car
  • Replaced the foot rest in my car
  • Vacuumed the car
  • Weeded the mini garden
  • Went through Ruben's clothing and bleached/scrubbed/mended what I could save
Some fun things happened as well, I took Ru an his friends to free lunch, played two board games with them, and we spent an hour in the pool.

Tomorrow Ruben goes to visit his dad for the weekend, and I plan on packing up for camping with my cousin Chris at Baker bay early next week.

Three boys on their way to free lunch.  We walked to the local elementary school.

Three boys in the tree outside Liberty Elementary School.

The game of LIFE.
