Enchanted Forest

We have been planning for a long time to go to Enchanted Forest, so when Betsy and Robert asked if we would go with them we said "YES".

Keeping Humpty Dumpty from falling.

Just starting out.
We got up, packed a picnic, and took off.  Enchanted forest opens at 10am and because we thought it would be pretty crowded on a hot Sunday we got there at 10am. We waited a bit for Betsy and Robert but they were running late so we went on in.  We enjoyed the Mother Goose displays, and Ruben adored all the little climb through exhibits.  Betsy and Robert joined us just as we were headed into the western themed area.  We walked around and looked at EVERYTHING.  Ru had gotten a ride bracelet so he went on all the rides. The bobsleds, the log ride, the slides, the shooting thing, (I forget what its called) and he hardly had to wait in line at all because the park was pretty empty.  We had lunch and then we saw the comedy show "Cinderella" Ru was impressed by the awesome acting and pratfalls.  After the show he gave the princess a high five and blushed a little.

Robert bought this souvenir picture for Ru.

Bobsleds- Ru is in the front.

Making sure we saw EVERYTHING.

Ru coming down.

Happy wet Ru.

The Cinderella comedy show.
I have to say Ru was the the perfect age for this place.  I'd say in a year or two and he would be unimpressed.  The rides were a little chintzy compared to Disneyland, and the nursery rhyme stuff was still interesting to him.

We left around 3pm having seen everything and ridden the fun rides 2-3 times. Ru and I were both tired and ready for home.  Betsy and Robert seemed to have a good time as well.  It was nice to have companions with whom to share our adventure today!

When we got home we spent some time in our cool apartment (Yes still working on the Zelda video game) then hit the pool for an after dinner swim.  Ru spent the remainder of the evening on his bike cruising around with his buddies.  I made a facebook page for Betsy and got her connected.
