Our last morning waking up in a tent, having a delicious breakfast (fried potatoes, bacon, eggs with stuff in them). We packed up and were gone by noon, much to the delight of the campers waiting for our spot. They actually cheered as we pulled out.
There was a lot of packing but Ruben is a pro now. He can roll a sleeping bag and a tent!
Somehow it all fits. So glad I bought the Camry not the Corolla. The trunk is immense.
Where we got our hike ideas. Thank you tax dollars at work.
As soon as we got home, he went for the games. We didn't have a lot of turn around time though, at 6:30pm we were going to LeRina's house for a party. Her son David had graduated from Chemeketa High School program and had had a birthday. Ru got to hang out with teenagers, as a teenager for the first time!
The party was excellent. Great food and beverages, music, and DANCING!
A family member demonstrated fire sword dancing, then David got a try. He had been practicing with the unlit sword for years. It was a big moment for him.
He only got slightly singed.
