Canterbury Renaissance Faire Weekend 1

I'm still working under the assumption that it isn't possible to have too much fun, but this weekend pushed the limits. I'm posting this on Tuesday and I'm still not entirely recovered.

Saturday morning Cab and I went to the Canterbury Renaissance Faire. I sang three times then we went to Oberon's Traveling Tavern and indulged in cider, beer, and the wine that I had brought with me. Cab and I left in the late afternoon and after a nap enjoyed a relaxing evening together.

VanZee the Magician

Cab in the costume I made him, but he forgot the hat.

Some pictures Cab took with my phone.

Sunday Cab wasn't able to join me so I set off alone. After my first set I joined Elke and Sue in the pub to watch the joust. We saw a pilgrim protester and offered him an ale, but he declined.

Yes Jodi, the blue night was just as handsome as last year!

Stole these pics from a photographers website:

Gordon my favorite storyteller

The privateer (I have a great story about this guy if you ask me)

My favorite picture.

During our third set Jeremy showed up. He was excited to show me his new ride. He bought a 2015 Suburban. It's a monster. He let me drive it and it was quiet, smooth, and powerful.
We took it to Silverton and had a delicious lunch at a pub, then went to Silver Falls State Park. We hiked the first two falls then decided to head back to Salem.

I grabbed my car from the field of Canterbury and we met up at my house. Not yet dark out we decided to play a few holes of golf.

I had excellent putting skills despite the heat and my tiredness.

On the 6th hole I threw high and hit a tree. Jeremy was watching because it was a tricky hole and he didn't want me to lose my disk. He saw my disk land, and the bottom half of an apple land near it. I had thrown so hard my disk chopped the apple in half.

We went back to my place for a wine tasting, and played guitar until early morning. We learned this song:
In harmony.

Good times :)
