Once again the alarm was set for 6, but Ruben was in full monster when I tried to wake him so at 7:15 I put a bowl of cereal and a cup of tea on the table. I went down to check out the hotel breakfast and saw several large people leaving with heaping plates of chocolate donuts and fruit loops. There were no fruit loops or chocolate donuts left as I walked in. Warm boiled eggs and corn flakes were though. No fruit as I was hoping.
We were at the gate closer to 9 and did all the rides in Fantasyland. Most of the lines were small and the babies were still cheerful and fun to watch.
We snacked in Tomorrowland and I made a lunch reservation. We got fast passes for Space Mountain and rode Splash Mountain three times single rider. There was nobody else in line so we walked off, looked at our picture and pretty much walked back on.
We rode Winnie the Pooh and pretended to be scared by heffalumps and woozles.
Space mountain was offline when we arrived so we saved the universe from the evil emperor Zorg on the Astro Blasters. I had a commanding lead but Ru was victorious due to some high scoring targets.
We power walked to Cafe Orleans, where Ru tried the Monte Cristo sandwich. He approved even though it was weird. We had a bag of leftovers as we left Disneyland to take a swim break and nap back at the hotel. 90 degrees and muggy today.
We crawled into bed at 6pm after our pool time, and Ru crashed hard. I put in earplugs, put on my eye mask and also drifted off. The alarm went off at 8 to give us time to get back for fireworks and the electrical parade, but what ended up happening was...we slept right through it.
The fireworks woke me up at 9:30pm. I tried to wake up Ru to go watch the parade, but thought better of it. (After he roared at me) He'll be a happier kid tomorrow if I let him sleep.
