Tie Dye

My good friend Sarah asked if I had done tie dye... which led to us planning a tie dye day with my family, but then something came up and she couldn't attend. I however watched some videos, brushed up on my skills, and made some shirts. I made a bunch for her, and asked that in payment she take a family photo of everyone wearing their shirts (including their exchange student) which she did.

Ruben's beautiful swirl, which he did all by himself. This talent runs in the family.

A method using a shoestring I found online. I love the pattern and color!

The fam at the dye table in Jeff's shop.

Finished duck shirts. A little disappointing. The shirts were too wet when I applied the dye, so it ran a lot more than I wanted it to.

What I wanted mine to look like, I'll try again next year.
