We arrived around 1pm and after a super quick setup we took a bit of a rest then drifted on the boat for the remainder of the day. Jeremy and Aerielle set up in the campsite across from us and we drifted over for their campfire. I had brought smores supplies so we got very sugared up and then Ru and I went to bed.
Fortunately the heat of the day didn't last into the night and we slept comfortably on our air mattress with the tent open to the breeze and stars. The crows woke me up around 5am, but I found an earplug and drifted back to sleep till 8am.
Sausage, eggs, bacon, and pancakes later, we drifted broke camp, packed the cars, and then hit the water for the day. Jeremy had bought a stand up paddle board which we let drift in the middle of the lake, tethered to the boat. It was a fantastic way to spend a weekend.
Coming home sucked.
